Strathkelvin Railway Path - Bedlay Cemetary to Bothlin Burn Playpark Moodiesburn

The cemetary can be accessed from the A80 at the rear is a low wall can be climbed to reach the railway path, their is also a direct access to the path from Avenuehead Road.

Follow the path around the bend and then pass beneath the A80 via the tunnel, the arched bridge structure can be seen beyond it's modern more angular counterpart.

Continue on past the left turn to Mahon Court over a bridge where the burn crossed beneath the path and into an area where many of the largest trees still stand.

Further along there is an unusual ridge to your left, perhaps a spur of the railwoay line, eventually after passing the bow-wow path on your left you reach a right turn.

Taking the path towards the back of the houses, you will cross an old metal bridge, and then up the path onto Bridgend Place to your left is a kissing gate.

Beyond the playpark take Bridgeburn Drive slightly to the left of the exit, a left turn will take you through the grounds of the Pivot Community Centre, onto Glenmanor Avenue where a range of shops and a coffee house are available.
